We are so excited to partner with small-batch hand-made fragrance studio, J. Pera. We will be doing a multi-month pop up in our brick and mortar, Highlow Gift Shop. The collection consists of eight scents, four perfume rollers and four limited edition perfume bottles. Come and experience this very special line of perfumes in person and discover storytelling through scent.

About the Brand

J.Pera was founded in Los Angeles by artist and lead scent-maker Jill Zachman. Joining Jill is creative director and co-scent maker Carlos Avila; together, they form a partnership that develops intriguing narratives that serve as the foundation for innovative scent products with bold designs for intrepid people of all backgrounds.

The Artists Behind the Brand

Jill Zachman - With an education in scent making from The Institute of Art and Olfaction, printmaking at Otis College of Art and Design, and a Ph.D. from The Claremont Graduate School, Jill pulls from her vast educational knowledge to craft narratives for the intriguing scent formulas she constructs. In addition to scent creation, Jill is an avid printmaker who crafts intricate narratives through screen printing, etching, and lithography.

Carlos Avila - Independently, Carlos is a professor at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, where he has taught typography and graphic design in both the Bachelor of Fine Arts and the Masters of Fine Arts. His expertise in typography and design is reflected in creating the visual language that gives J.Pera products their distinctive character.
